Love of water in all its forms, sight, smell and sound, is the inspiration for Abunayyan villa. The clean, modern design compliments the soft fluidity of the liquid medium the villa contains. Throughout this inventive design one is aware of the presence of cool water. The villa is constructed over an intricate series of interior and exterior pools. One comes to understand the contemplative nature of a still pool with hyacinth and lilies, or the energetic delight of water lightly splashing down a rubble wall.

To fully appreciate this residence one must be prepared to view water from every space and cross the pools over a series of uniquely designed bridges and footpaths. The water is used to divide the space into its functional groups as well; public and private, service and the served.
